Me and Jesus and CGA!

Hey Everybody! My name is Paul Duesing (pronounced-Do sing.) and I just got back from World Race Gap Year {GAP J!!!!!} this past June. If you’re reading this then there is a high probability that you know me, but if you haven’t had that pleasure (I make lots of jokes–especially corny ones.) then I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.

-The Lord radically changed my life the past 9 months.

-I absolutely love traveling, adventures, and exploring new places (mountains are my fav btw).

-Even though I enjoy being around people I love a nothing more than my hammock and a good book.

-I am passionate about children, orphans, people, discipleship, medicine, farming, hard work, hammocks, the Lord’s radical love for me (I’m His favorite), adventures, lake days, and hiking.

-Meat is still and will probably always be my favorite food.

-I love corny jokes and they’re even more fun when they’re about corn btw

What did the corn say when he got complimented?

Aw, shucks!

What has ears but can’t hear?

A field of corn!!!

What did the baby corn say to the momma corn?

Where’s “pop”corn?

-My favorite movie is Lord of the Rings [yes, all of them]

-my favorite animals are as follows–I’m always changing the first three between the three of them:

Whales

Cows (all of the cows)

elephants

Dogs

Elk

Dolphins

Bears

and Tigers

-I love animals. Go figure.

I am SOOOO excited for all of the adventures God has planned for me in life.

Adventures in Mission (AIM) has this nifty program called Center for Global Action (CGA). Earlier in the Year I signed up for this program not knowing anything about it except the fact the the Lord told me to do it and that I would grow during that time. I went into it pretty blindly too. Since I actually know more about it now, here is some info on what I will be doing this fall!

This program is another big leap in my relationship with God and building my leadership skills. This discipleship program focuses on leadership and what it looks like in and outside of the church. We go over what it is like to live in a healthy community. We will do an in-depth studies of the Bible and have other work as well. Another large part of this program is discipling others, and learning more about what that looks like and how it is done well in the church and even those outside of the church. In addition to all of those things I will also learn just more about myself and who God has created me to be. Basically, CGA is super awesome and I’m going to learn a lot while pouring radically into others. It’s going to be great!!!

One last thing. I need to raise a total of $5,950.00 in order to attend this fall. I will be working up until I leave and while I am there to pay for this, but if you feel the Lord calling you to donate (or just happen to love my writing that much) you can go to the homepage of this blog and click “Donate” and give any amount. Also, any and all donations are tax deductible!!! If you want more info or to ask questions and talk my email and Facebook are:
